Special Project Title/Description:

AD/Cycle Laboratory and Curriculum for Application Development

The IBM AD/Cycle Laboratory and Showcase for Application Development (1991-93) project was instrumental in integrating automated tools into the CNIT curriculum. IBM Corporation donated the equipment and numerous software tools for automated application development. IBM's business partners (Index Technology, KnowledgeWare, ViaSoft, and others) donated their automated tools for computer-aided software engineering, rapid application development, software reengineering, and project management. The CNIT faculty effectively integrated these technologies into the curriculum, with training and assistance from the industry partners. Automated tools remain an important component of CNIT instruction.
