The faculty in the Department of Industrial Technology have a wide range of industrial and consulting experience. Several faculty are highly sought after for special expertise in activities such as industrial training or keynotes speeches for conferences, service on technical committees and boards of directors, or writing for trade journals and trade associations. Other faculty have work experience in diverse companies such as Caterpillar, Ernst & Young, Exel Logistics, Chrysler and Ford Motor Company, working as Quality Assurance Engineers, Supplier Management, Product Design, Warehouse Operations, and Transportation Planning and Manufacturing Systems Consultants. All of these serve to keep faculty current, and to generate support from industry for our programs and students.
