The University of Industrial Distribution will be holding its annual Conference March 2-7, 2008 at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center on campus at Indiana University – Purdue University (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, IN. UID is the premier international executive education program for distribution and manufacturing since 1994. During those 13 years, more than 30 associations have sponsored UID with over 600 classes offered to more than 5,200 owners, executives, senior and mid-level managers, and professionals from 2,865 firms representing all 50 US states, Canadian provinces, and 25 foreign nations.
Excellent instruction with “take home” value on distribution is the goal of the program for participants. The UID program is unique because it is specific for distributors and manufacturers going to market through industrial distributors, and attendees can tailor their learning to their specific needs by choosing from among 30+ sessions offered covering the field of distribution. A complete listing of the March 2007 program, including subjects and speakers, may be found at www.univid.org for your reference.
The Target Audience consists of professionals serving the distribution industry in both distribution and and manufacturing companies and includes;
– Owner/Executives
– Operations, Sales, Branch , Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Managers
– HR Directors
- Supervisors
In general, there are five educational streams for the conference:

You are receiving this request for proposal based on recommendations from Association Education Alliance member associations. It is assumed that you are an experienced speaker, coach trainer or facilitator within the industrial distribution industry.
The instructors and courses offered at UID are selected for their extensive backgrounds in business and in particular, distribution. In fact, the instructors and courses at the recent UID in March 2007 represented the best from over 200 courses and 150 instructors from the past 19 UID programs—as evaluated by the attendees. UID is highly selective and requires that speakers have national recognition within the industry, excellent working knowledge of the distribution industry and how to apply their given subject matter specifically to that industry, and a demonstrated track record of excellence at distribution-related venues.
