Scholarship of Engagement

"Engagement," as it relates to academics for our faculty, focuses on:

• research
• teaching that reaches past the classroom walls
• reciprocal collaboration with communities

Purdue and the College of Technology have benefited from the generosity of several granting agencies to help support research that helps our students learn while making a contribution to society.

In addition, the research our faculty conduct becomes part of a broader knowledge through publications and presentations.

Examples:

A professor tracks the benefits to both parties in an engagement partnership (this links to a JPG of a poster).
