Purdue and IU are Partners in Education
The Purdue College of Technology at New Albany enjoys a great partnership with Indiana University Southeast. We are located in a new facility off of Charlestown road (across from Kohl's) with classrooms and laboratories that have state of art equipment and enthusiastic faculty and staff.
In addition to our facility off of Charlestown road, Purdue students in New Albany have access to all of the amenities of IU Southeast's beautiful campus which sits on a scenic, 177-acre tract at the foot of the "knobs" area of Southeast Indiana. IU Southeast's campus facilities include a modern library, new campus housing, a remodeled bookstore and student center, and the Ogle Center for the Performing Arts.
Engineering vs. Engineering Technology
Engineering is the profession in which a knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences gained by study, experience, and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to utilize economically the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind.
Engineering Technology is the part of the technological field that requires the application of scientific and engineering knowledge and methods combined with technical skills in support of engineering activities; it lies in the occupational spectrum between the craftsman and the engineer at the end of the spectrum closest to the engineer.
Is Engineering Technology For You?
If you...
- have an aptitude in science and math
