New center to focus on global aviation research

A new center at Purdue University will harness the expertise of aviation faculty and students to focus on research that will address global aviation issues. Headquartered in the Department of Aviation Technology in the College of Technology, the Advanced Aviation Analytics Institute for Research (A3IR-CORE) is the first Center of Research Excellence to be approved within the department.

The College of Technology’s Women in Technology (WIT) student organization got a little bit of help in their efforts to recruit and retain the next generation of female leaders in technology, thanks to a $750 grant from the National Center for Women & Information Technology.

Purdue University’s engineering/technology teacher education program within the College of Technology was named the nation’s outstanding program in 2012 by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).
