In the News: new tool gives structural strength to 3-D printed works

Researchers at Purdue and Adobe's Advanced Technology Labs have jointly developed a program that automatically imparts strength to objects before they are created by 3-D printers. The research was conducted by Bedrich Benes, associate professor of computer graphics technology, two doctoral students within the Department of Computer Graphics Technology, and two Adobe researchers.

EnerDel expands research partnership with College of Technology

Indiana-based EnerDel Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems, is expanding its relationship with Purdue University's College of Technology with a gift of lithium-ion battery technology, research data and technical expertise to train students in the latest energy storage technologies for electric vehicles and the electric grid.

Purdue’s all-woman team wins Stryker Engineering Challenge

An all-woman team from Purdue (including Technology students) won the third annual Stryker Engineering Challenge Sept. 27-28 at Stryker Medical in Portage, Mich.

Project Lead the Way students learn about aerospace careers in South Bend

For the fourth year, the Purdue College of Technology at South Bend invited Project Lead the Way students from area high schools to its home on the IUSB campus for a workshop. This year’s theme was aerospace, so educators and local aerospace leaders helped paint a picture of specific knowledge needed for careers in the field.
