Swain named director of Purdue's Richmond location

Michael Swain has been appointed director of Purdue University’s College of Technology at Richmond.

He will oversee operations for the location, which is headquartered in Tom Raper Hall on the Indiana University East campus.

Christy Tollett named new Richmond Student Services Coordinator

Christy Tollett has been named the new Student Services Coordinator for Purdue University College of Technology at Richmond.

As Student Services Coordinator, Tollett will oversee all admissions and student services for the Purdue University College of Technology programs in Richmond.

Register now for Richmond Fall 2012 classes

Make an advising appointment soon; classes begin August 27. The Fall 2012 schedule of classes can be found online.

Fall 2012 classes will include a variety of face-to-face and online courses.

Two computer and information technology classes will be offered, along with the full schedule of computer graphics courses.

ECET 233(Electronics and Industrial Controls) will return to the schedule and mechanical engineering technology freshman courses are migrating from evening to day classes.

Entry-level and upper-level industrial technology and organizational leadership classes round out the schedule.


Important news regarding the payment of fees

Beginning with the Fall 2012 semester, all Statewide Technology students must meet their financial obligations for payment of their fees, confirm their registration and accept their charges by the first day of classes (August 27, 2012) or be in danger of having their registration cancelled for non-payment.

It is very important for you to be proactive and make arrangements for covering the cost of your classes in a timely fashion.

Andy Schaffer named Associate Dean for Statewide Technology

Andy Schaffer

Andy Schaffer has been appointed Associate Dean for Statewide Technology. This is one of the first administrative changes as a result of the Statewide reengineering effort currently underway. In addition to being responsible for the administration of Statewide Technology, Schaffer will lead the reengineering initiative for Statewide Technology. Schaffer replaces Duane Dunlap, who will be taking on more engagement duties in his role as an associate dean.
