New differential fee to enhance student learning

The Board of Trustees has approved a new differential general service fee for the College of Technology. New students during the fall of 2009 will be the first to pay the additional fee.

The college is the fourth to incorporate such a charge into its fee structure.

Approved by the Trustees last month, the fee is charged to students on a semester basis ($250 for full-time students). In the coming months and years, the funds generated from this fee will be used for items such as additional technical support, laboratory upgrades, and other needs that will enhance student learning.

All student questions about the differential fee should be directed to department heads.

The differential fee proposal is available for download on the college’s intranet site.
