Nominate CoT students for "5 Students Who" feature

Purdue Marketing and Media is seeking nominations of students to be featured in the popular “5 Students Who“ series of web-based profiles.

For February 2011 Board of Trustees meeting
Stories will feature students (either undergraduate or graduate) who are using mobile technology in a novel way, or those who have developed mobile technology of their own, like apps for iPhones, iPads, etc. Special consideration will be given to students who have developed technology especially for a 4G network.

This Web site feature will be part of a presentation at the February Purdue Board of Trustees meeting as well as the ITaP and Purdue home pages.

For February regular feature
Stories will feature students who are Discovery MAKERS. They are looking for undergraduates doing research with a faculty mentor, and whose research efforts really help them to stand out in the crowd. Nominees could be someone who wants pursue a career in research as a result of their undergraduate research experience or a student who has contributed significantly to a research project.

Nomination process
Submit nominations by Nov. 24 to Jason Mucher, director of communications, at jmucher@purdue.edu. He will pass them on to Marketing and Media. Please include the following information with the nominations:

  • Student name
  • Hometown
  • Major
  • Year in school
  • E-mail address and cell phone number (if possible)
  • Brief explanation (30-70 words) about why the student is a good candidate (include research topic for Discovery MAKERS feature)
  • Name of faculty mentor (for the Discovery MAKERS feature only)
