Purdue CI Days

Purdue CI Days 2010 aims to broaden the use of cyberinfrastructure, or CI, with expert presentations and panel discussions by faculty members already taking advantage of CI resources ranging from cutting-edge supercomputers to classroom discussion tools.

Purdue CyberInfrastructure Days 2010 will showcase technologies to enhance research, teaching and research funding. The program will focus on how faculty members, research staffers, or graduate students can benefit from these technologies. Participants from any field are welcome.

The event is scheduled Dec. 8-9 in Fowler Hall in the Stewart Center and the Purdue Memorial Union.  Read more.


Online research and grant resources

The OVPR has made a new resource available to help with research development and grant writing.  It is called “Research Development & Grant Writing News.”  Links on the site include new funding opportunities, grant writing online resources and agency multi-year plans (e.g. DOE Smart Grid).

World AIDS Day observance

The Black Cultural Center will host a campus observance of World AIDS Day Dec. 1. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the BCC will offer educational videos, prizes, snacks, craft activities and educational materials. A reception is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. featuring a guest speaker who is living with HIV, a DJ and spoken word poets.
