Professor Henry Kraebber's Manufacturing in Germany course for spring semester features a trip to Munich, Germany, during the week of Spring Break. This is the first year that students from the College of Technology filled all available spaces. Thirteen of the 15 participants are students from the department: MET, MFET or Graduate Studies.

The trip will provide participants with the opportunity to see several outstanding manufacturing operations in the Munich area. Highlights include the BMW assembly plant located in Munich and the KUKA robot factory in nearby Augsburg. The class will also meet with students at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and members of the Purdue Alumni Club of Bavaria.

The students will also take a day to travel south to the German Alps and tour the famous castles of King Ludwig II: Schloss Linderhof and Schloss Neuschwanstein.

This will be the eighth trip led by Kraebber. Since 2004, 105 students have particpated in the class. It's not too late to start thinking about and planning for this course in Spring 2012.
