Students headed to Germany on spring break
Fifteen students in Henry Kraebber's MFET 499 (Manufacturing in Germany) course will spend their spring break seeing the sights of Munich, Germany.
Students from mechanical engineering technology, organizational leadership and supervision, management, and engineering will leave March 13 for the visit that will include tours of KUKA Robotics, Ayinger Brewery, and a BMW assembly plant. Students also will meet with students and faculty from the University of Applied Science in Munich to discuss opportunities for partnership. In addition to the manufacturing-related activities, students will have a chance to explore the sights and food of Germany and visit World War II landmarks, such as the Dachau Concentration Camp Historic Site.
Students will return on March 21. The remainder of the course will be spent discussing what they learned, writing a report, and preparing presentations for administrators and students.
