Kraebbers honored for support of Purdue Athletics
Hank Kraebber and Sharon Kraebber received the Gold and Black P Award from the John Purdue Club earlier this year.
The award is presented annually to individuals who, through their visible and generous support, have distinguished themselves as advocates for Purdue Athletics. Hank is a professor of mechanical engineering technology and Sharon is head academic advisor for organizational leadership and supervision.
"The Kraebbers are people who support you with their time and treasure and do so because they believe in the student-athlete experience," Purdue athletics director Morgan Burke said. "Quiet and unassuming but people you can count on, Sharon and Hank will roll up their sleeves and help you. Sharon has spent many a weekend helping us with official and unofficial recruiting visits and always did so with a smile and a kind word. Hank can always be counted upon to help sell Purdue in every aspect of the experience."
The Kraebbers have been John Purdue Club members since 1977.
The Gold and Black P was first awarded to Purdue president Fred Hovde in 1979 for his service as a tireless educator who was dedicated not only to higher education and athletics, but also to the advancement of women's sports.
