MET alumnus Duane Fortune honored by Delphi
Duane Fortune, MET '81, was inducted into the Delphi Automotive System's Innovation Hall of Frame at the platinum level, the highest achievable level, on December 1, 2010.
Delphi awarded only two platinum awards last year worldwide. Fortune's resume at Delphi includes 33 patents, 12 defensive publications and one trade secret. Fortune and his wife, Kimberly, traveled to Delphi's world headquarters in Troy, Mich., where he was presented his award at a special dinner honoring all inductees.
Fortune has been employed by Delphi for 22 years and is also a "Boss" Kettering Award winner. He earned his associate degree from Purdue in 1977 and his bachelor's degree in 1981.
