French nominated for Professor of the Year

Mark French, associate professor of mechanical engineering technology, was the College of Technology nominee for the 2011 U.S. Professor of the Year award.  Each College had only one nominee forwarded to the University level selection committee.

The award is sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. The criteria for the award is an extraordinary dedication to undergraduate teaching which is demonstrated by excellence in the following areas: impact on and involvement with undergraduate students, scholarly approach to teaching and learning, contribution to undergraduate education in the institution, community and profession, and support from colleagues and current and former undergraduate students.
