Stephen Shipman, May 2012 BCM Grad, is working for Mortenson Construction in Gladbrook, Iowa (pop. 900).

He began at Mortenson headquarters in Minneapolis in June of 2012 for a month of pre-planning on the project. The mobilized in July in Iowa and are expected to complete the project around Thanksgiving.

70+ hour work weeks have Stephen in charge of their foundations QC (including 6pm-6am concrete pours for a couple of weeks), then receiving of turbine and tower components, and now QC for the towers. In addition, Stephen is in charge of 56 pickups, 110 radios and he created pick plans for all 9 cranes on the site.
