Career Resources
In its short 40-year history, just under 30,000 students have graduated from Purdue with degrees from the College of Technology and have made innumerable contributions to business and industry within diverse technology disciplines.
Job placement rates for the college’s graduates range from 83 to 100 percent within six months of graduation for most programs, and technology graduates record some of the University’s highest starting salaries for graduates of undergraduate programs.
All College of Technology students and alumni have access to the University’s Center for Career Opportunities. In addition, the College of Technology and its departments host job fairs and post job boards.
Student Employment/Internships on Campus
Employers want to hire graduating students who have work experience during college. The experience you get doesn't have to be perfectly related to your major, and it doesn't have to be experience in your absolute first choice of career paths. It does need to be experience that exposes you to professionalism, and lets you see how skills and ideas are applied in the real world.
These opportunities are handled individually by University departments. Many departments publicize their vacancies through various campus resources, such as the Center for Career Opportunities, the Cooperative Education Program, myPurdue, departmental bulletin boards, and the department of Financial Aid. Housing and Food Services commonly has student positions available.
