Vision
A Glimpse at Purdue and the College of Technology
Get a glimpse at collegiate life and your options through Purdue’s College of Technology. … The College of Technology offers more than 20 majors and specializations in eight technology areas — aviation, building construction management, computer graphics, computer and information technology, industrial technology, organizational leadership and supervision, and electrical and mechanical engineering technology.
The College of Technology provides select high school students with a first-hand look at all of its program areas through the Vision program.
Scheduled for March 27 to 29, 2008, participants will experience collegiate life and the College of Technology by:
- Attending class lectures and participating in lab activities with College of Technology students
- Meeting with the college’s faculty and staff
- Asking questions during break-out sessions with technology students
- Spending evenings with fellow Vision participants and chaperones in social activities
Accommodations
Participants may check in on Thursday, March 27, between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. at the Purdue Memorial Union Hotel (see the map within this brochure for directions). Please allow ample travel time because the program will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Deadline Date: March 10, 2008
Cost
Thanks to underwriting by corporate sponsors, the cost to attend the Vision program is $50 per person and includes all accommodations, meals, and activities.

Transportation
Transportation to and from the Vision program
will be the responsibility of parents or guardians of
program participants.
Location
Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Lafayette-West Lafayette area is 65 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and 90 miles southeast of Gary. Major bus lines provide service to West Lafayette and Amtrak trains make daily stops in Lafayette en route to Chicago and Indianapolis.
