We encourage all of our students to take advantage of internship opportunities. It provides you with industrial experience that can set you apart from other candidates when it comes to job searching and interviewing. Many times, companies that you intern with might also be willing to extend an offer to you when you graduate. It is a great opportunity to network, gain industrial experience, and earn credit over the summer months.
In order to earn credit for your internship, you need to be enrolled in IT 191. This course is offered mainly during the summer months. A student may participate during three sessions, for a maximum of 9 credits (3 per session), but only with the consent of the department. Here are some guidelines for the supervised work experience.
