Dr. Naimi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the ethical, legal and global challenges of leadership and technology innovation. Her research interests focus on leadership and innovation, with special emphasis on the unintended consequences of technology innovation; international collaboration; and the development of science and technology policy.
Dr. Naimi is also an attorney at law, specializing in the areas of intellectual property, business law and technology law. She has over twenty-five years of professional experience in information technology management and education, having served with distinction as a professor of ethics, law and leadership; a university vice president of information technology; a director of computing at Harvard University; a state program director of technology for Connecticut; and a teacher and administrator in PK-12 education. She holds five earned degrees: a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Connecticut School of Law; a doctorate and masters degree from Harvard University; a masters degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham; and a baccalaureate degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Naimi is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Charles B. Murphy award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching, Purdue's highest teaching award, Panhellenic Outstanding Professor Award, and the department's Dwyer award for outstanding teaching. She was inducted into Purdue's Teaching Academy and will be inducted into the Book of Great Teachers upon her tenth year of service. Dr. Naimi serves on a number of editorial and advisory boards, including the Ethics and Critical Thinking Journal, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Management, Global Journal on Business Research, and International Journal of Business and Finance Research. She is a member of CERIAS (Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security) , ABA (American Bar Association), (AAAS) American Association for the Advancement of Science, ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education), IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and the ILA (International Leadership Association).
