Computer and Information Technology
In the C&IT program, students learn how to analyze, design, construct, and implement sophisticated database and data warehousing systems for business transaction processing and operations, management information, and decision support. The technology courses focus on subjects such as database analysis and design, data and database management, database programming, and database administration. To complement the technology courses, a variety of courses in interpersonal communication, liberal arts, and business are required. BS graduates typically are employed as data or database analysts, database developers, database administrators, and database consultants.
C&IT students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all prerequisite C&IT courses in order to enroll in a C&IT postrequisite course.
