Tom Jarvis serves as Chief Laboratory Technician for Purdue Statewide Muncie in Mechanical Engineering. Mr.Jarvis brings with him 30 years of experience in the fields of Tool and Die Making, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Manufacturing, Environmental Services, and Facilities Maintenance. He has been with Purdue University for 18 years. He also service as technical adviser to students on activities conducted within his laboratories as well as serving as an advisor to the faculty.
Mr.Jarvis holds two Associate of Science Degrees in Applied Science. He currently serves on the board of advisers for Indiana Vocational Technical College Industrial Maintenance Program; the Makinze Carrier Center’s Welding and Blacksmithing Program; and Ball State University’s Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program. He is also a recipient of the Dean’s award for outstanding achievement in the partnership and cooperation between Ball State and Purdue.
