Aviation Technology provides practical and educational opportunities for students whose career interests focus in the aerospace and global transportation industry. Undergraduate degree programs in aeronautical engineering technology, aviation management, and professional flight technology prepare students for leadership roles in industry, education and research.

Graduate degree programs on campus and via distance learning further train scientific and industry professionals in one of a multitude of specialties related to the field of aviation.

Purdue Pete’s head is created by aviation technology students in the Composites Laboratory at the Purdue University Airport.

 

Able Flight™ is a nonprofit organization focused on enabling and empowering people with disabilities to pursue flight training.  Purdue has hosted Able Flight™ students for two years.

2012 Aviation Technology Career Fair

The career fair was a success, with 9 air carriers, 3 airports, 11 aviation design and maintenance companies, and 9 companies involved with aviation management in attendance. 

An announcement from the Flight Safety Foundation named Purdue University host of the innagural campus chapter of the Foundation in a press release held during the career fair event.
