Served as representative to the Syracuse Builders Exchange. |
Military Service: (26 years active and reserve duty)
- Retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer in the Naval Reserve, April 1997. Duty billets included Command Master Chief of the 22nd and the 28th US Naval Mobile Construction Battalions, and Operations Chief for the 9th Naval Construction Regiment. Recalled to active duty in 1991 in support of ODS and served as Brigade Operations Officer for TACON '91 at Marine Corps Base, 29 Palms, CA. Served as a Petty Officer Third Class with Mobile Construction Battalion 58 in the Republic of Vietnam. Also served with Naval Advisory Group – Saigon, providing training to the South Vietnamese Navy in the operation of river patrol boats (PBR).
- Construction projects included bridges, roads, off-shore fueling facilities, advance landing fields and fire-bases, petrol storage facilities and distribution systems, temporary, and permanent buildings, and tactical construction.
