Beau Mitchell Corporation (BMC) is a full service general contracting firm founded in 2001.  Based in Peru, Indiana, we have successfully completed 300 projects over the past 5 years, including Department of Defense (DOD) projects and competitive bid public works projects.  BMC endeavors to provide high quality service in a prompt, efficient manner at all times.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual for a Senior Estimator position.  Experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional projects is required.  The position requires a Bachelors of Science in Construction Engineering/Management or related field of equivalent work experience.  Excellent computer skills, (MS Office/Excel/Timberline), in addition to well developed budgeting, purchasing and organizational skills are also required.

The person needed for this position must have conceptualand hard bid estimating skills.  We are experiencing significant growthand will require this person to take control of the position and immediately come inand hit the ground running with little or no training.  This position requires experience with a general contractor estimating projects in the $1-3m range.

TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS:

-Attend pre-bid meetings & collect information to establish cost take offs and build estimates.
-Read and understand contract specifications, instruction to bidders, sample contracts, and general conditions.
- Report on job cost vs. work complete to date and develop strategies needed to complete contract.
-Develop relationships with sub-contractors, and identify new subcontractors to meet the construction needs of the company.
-Solicit multiple quotations for subcontractors, materials, equipment, and other service providers.
-Prepare Bond Request Forms.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
