Overaa Construction is a family-owned general building contractor.  For nearly a century, Overaa Construction has been specializing in a variety of innovative and challenging projects throughout the Northern California Bay Area.  Overaa Construction’s consistently successful projects have helped to garner widespread attention from our peers.  (i.e. ENR Top 300, California Constructor Top 20, SF Business Times Top 10, and many more)  We deliberately seek out technically demanding projects to help keep us on the cutting edge of the construction industry.  Our work types, ranging $10-70 million, vary from water treatment plants to schools, as we self-perform structural concrete, carpentry, millwright, and process equipment work.  We build more parking structures (mostly design/build) in Northern California than any other contractor.  We employ 200+ field people and 70+ office staff, including 1 Purdue graduate. Project Manager

As the leader of an individual Project Team, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning and management of projects including scheduling, estimating, cost control, documentation control, and jobsite production with the overall goal of achieving the maximum profit consistent with Overaa Construction project management policies and procedures applied within the context of company culture and values.  Project Managers may also be assigned responsibilities in estimating, business development and preconstruction.

Reports to the Project Management Team leader.
Work as a team with superintendent to build projects in a controlled manner
Responsible for project business including project strategy, contractual issues, scheduling and execution of the work
Responsible for directing, supervising, coaching and mentoring of Project Engineers when assigned.
Primarily reports to the main office but may be assigned to the project site on large, complex projects or under other special circumstances.
May be responsible for several projects at the same time.
Acts as the principal company representative to the Owner on assigned projects.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Project Engineers report to their assigned Project Managers (s).  They may report to more than one Project Manager when working on more than one project.  Project Engineers support and are directed by the Project Superintendent when performing field tasks.  They may be assigned to either the Project Field Office and/or the Main Office depending on specific project assignments.  Typically each Project Engineer will have responsibilities on several projects at the same time.

Document control. Coordinates flow of information and documents.
Assists in management of Claims and Change Orders.
Assists with Project Start Up and Planning.
Assists in development and updating the Project Schedule.
Schedules, processes and monitors submittals.
Material Purchasing. Prices and purchases materials as directed.
Assists with various field tasks.
Manages and/or assists with Project Closeout.
