• January 1995. Made a presentation on Construction Safety at the Southern Indiana Council of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in Jasper, Indiana
• December 1994. Conducted a workshop for students in the School of Technology (at the request of the students). 50 students attended the workshop. Compiled a TQM manual for student use at the workshop.

• 1996. Received the Outstanding Educator Award for 1996 from the Associated Schools of Construction Region III, Great Lakes.
• 1990. Special recognition award presented by the Gables Club of Terry Courts, Purdue University.
• 1989. John Trimmer Award of Teaching Excellence, presented by the national Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Merit Shop Foundation.
