Purdue's College of Technology and the Girls Scouts of America partner together to bring TAGS: Technology Advances Girls Scouts geared for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

You are invited to join the staff at the College of Technology in exploring various areas of the exciting world of technology. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills by experiencing hands-on labs. The faculty will lead the way as you experience each of the nine different departments including aviation, building construction management, computer graphics technology, computer information technology, industrial technology, electrical and computer engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, and organizational leadership and supervision.

Registration:

To register for the TAGS program,you must be a member of the Girl Scouts. If you are not yet a member, no problem, contact Jaime Hubbard at 317-924-6859 or email her at jhubbard@girlscoutsindiana.org and Jaime will help you out. Jaime will also assist you in registering for the program. TAGS will run from Monday, July 13, 2009 through Thursday, July 16, 2009. Note: Registration to the program is limited to the first 30 students.

Accommodations:

Participants may check in on Monday, July 13, 2009 between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. at Merideth Hall on Purdue University's Campus: 201 Martin Jischke Drive, West Lafayette, IN 47906; (765) 494-2532. Transportation during the camp to and from the Sycamore Girl Scout Camp, where the campers will be lodging, and Purdue University will be provided by the Girl Scouts.

Cost:

The cost for attending the TAGS program is $200 per girl.
