Vision
A Glimpse at Purdue and the College of Technology
Take a glimpse at collegiate life and your
options through Purdue’s College of
Technology. Purdue University's College of Technology
offers more than 20 majors and specializations
in eight technology areas — aviation,
building construction management, computer
graphics technology, computer and information technology,
electrical & computer engineering technology, industrial technology, mechanical engineering technology/manufacturing engineering technology, and organizational leadership
and supervision.
The College of Technology provides select high school students with a firsthand look at many of its program areas through the Vision program. Scheduled for March 28 to 30, 2013, participants will experience collegiate life and the College of Technology by:
- Attending class lectures and participating in lab activities with College of Technology students
- Meeting with the College’s faculty and staff
- Asking questions during break-out sessions with technology students
- Spending evenings with fellow Vision participants and Minority Technology Association members

Accommodations
Participants may check in on Thursday, March 28 between 1:00 and 2:30 pm, Eastern Standard Time, at the Purdue Memorial Union Hotel (see the map below for directions). Please allow ample travel time as the program will begin promptly at 2:30 pm (EST). Deadline Date: March 2, 2012.
Cost
Thanks to underwriting by corporate sponsors, the cost to attend the Vision program is only $75 per person and includes your two night stay at the Purdue Memorial Union Hotel, all meals, and activities.
Note: Students with a strong desire to attend the program, but who lack financial means, may contact Ebony Gilbert, recruitment and retention coordinator, at (765) 494-2331 or e-mail: ebonygilbert@purdue.edu as Scholarships are available.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the Vision program
is the responsibility of parents or guardians of
program participants.
Location
Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Lafayette/West Lafayette area is 65 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and 90 miles southeast of Gary. Major bus lines provide service to West Lafayette and Amtrak trains make daily stops in Lafayette en route to Chicago and Indianapolis.
