Nathan W. Hartman was hired as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Purdue University and his Ed.D. from North Carolina State University . His primary teaching responsibility is undergraduate instruction in engineering graphics and graduate instruction in the foundations and philosophies of graphic science.

Prior to coming to Purdue, Nathan held several positions in industry, including production of engineering design graphics and corporate training in the use of constraint-based 3D CAD tools. He has presented and authored papers in journals on engineering graphics curriculum development and implementation, 3D modeling techniques and strategies, assessment strategies for student evaluation, employer preferences for graduating students, and the development of expertise in the use of constraint-based CAD tools.

Ron Glotzbach was promoted from Visiting Assistant Professor to an Assistant Professor at the West Lafayette campus. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Purdue University . Prof. Glotzbach's primary teaching responsibility is undergraduate instruction in Interactive Multimedia Development, hypermedia authoring, and e-commerce.

Nicoletta's special area of expertise is in Character Animation and Character Design. Her current research interest is in the application of 3D Animation to teaching communicative gestures, e.g., American Sign Language, fine manipulative skills, and dynamic manipulative tasks. She is also interested in the application of 3D Animation to scientific visualization.

Madeleine Farraro (picture not available) was hired as a Visiting Assistant Professor at our New Albany site. She has taught in the Graphic Design and Fine Arts fields for the past nine years at Indiana University Southeast, Ivy Tech State College, and Purdue University at New Albany . She has had extensive professional experience as an illustrator and has done freelance illustration and design. Her primary teaching focus is in design layout and color theory.

Madeleine has had her personal work exhibited, has several artworks in private collections, and was awarded a Louie Award for Copywriting in 1996. She is a member of The College Art Association and SIGGRAPH, an organization that promotes computer graphics and interactive technology. She earned her A.S. in Graphic Design from Ivy Tech State College, a B.A. in Fine Arts from Indiana University and her M.F.A. from the University of Cincinnati .
