Sponsored by the Multimedia Instructional Development Center (MIDC) at Purdue University, this project is designed to teach multiview visualization principles and rendering methodologies. The project began in September 2003, and is being directed by Pat Connolly and Kellen Maicher.
In addition to providing general information on multiview theory, the latest version of the system will include a Web-based simulation that allows users to create multiview renderings without the use of external software in order to maximize technique mastery and content absorption.
The system will also provide dynamic evaluation and assessment of student work in order to provide efficient feedback to students and reduce individual assessment time for the instructor. Such a system will overcome certain problems inherent with traditional online instructional applications such as limited components for instruction of applied techniques and insufficient feedback mechanisms. |
