Project - St. Mary's Hospital Website

Principal Investigator Ron Glotzbach and Co-PI Kellen Maicher will be developing a solution for St. Mary's Hospital (SMH) in Evansville, Indiana that effectively redesigns and replaces their existing Internet website.

Through a partnership with the Department of Computer Graphics Tehcnology and St. Mary's, principle development on the project began in May and will extend through the summer and fall semester. The site is expected to be completed in late November.

Project - Online Multiview Instructional Simulation and Testing Application

Sponsored by the Multimedia Instructional Development Center (MIDC) at Purdue University, this project is designed to teach multiview visualization principles and rendering methodologies. The project began in September 2003, and is being directed by Pat Connolly and Kellen Maicher.

In addition to providing general information on multiview theory, the latest version of the system will include a Web-based simulation that allows users to create multiview renderings without the use of external software in order to maximize technique mastery and content absorption.

The system will also provide dynamic evaluation and assessment of student work in order to provide efficient feedback to students and reduce individual assessment time for the instructor. Such a system will overcome certain problems inherent with traditional online instructional applications such as limited components for instruction of applied techniques and insufficient feedback mechanisms.
