Change of Degree Objectives (CODO) Requirements

The demand for enrollment in some majors in the College of Technology currently exceeds the resource capacity to meet that demand. For this reason some departments must limit CODO's based on a semester-by-semester analysis of the total department enrollment.  This is not the case for Statewide Technology - All students at Purdue University in good academic standing are eligible to transfer to any program offered by the school at the various Statewide Technology locations.

There are two levels that students can qualify for CODO application. Students on academic probation may not CODO into the CIT program.

Application Requirements Level I - 3.25 unadjusted cumulative GPA and completion of courses below will automatically be admitted to CIT.

The Departments of Computer & Information Technology has specific courses that must be taken with a grade of C or better before automatically being accepted into the program. See the table below to view the required courses by department.

Application Requirements Level II - Admission 2.8 cumulative adjusted GPA.

The Department of Computer & Information Technology requires a minimum adjusted cumulative GPA of 2.80.

The Department will review all CODO applications that have at least a 2.8 adjusted GPA. For CODO purposes, adjusted GPA is calculated by deleting "D's" and "F's" in courses which are not applicable to the intended major.
