Transfer Credit Evaluation Process for Current CIT Students:

If you would like to take a course at another College or University that will transfer to the CIT plan of study, you must submit a Transfer Credit Request for approval at least one month prior to enrolling in the course. From the following database, create a report and print or email to Angie Murphy, armurphy@purdue.edu, Knoy Hall 249. Course requests for transfer credit for CNIT courses require submission of the course description, syllabus, and sample projects.

On your report, indicate:

For a listing of Purdue University approved courses, go to:

and create a report.

Before using the Transfer Credit to Purdue system, it is strongly recommended that you review the rules for transferring credit to Purdue available at

http://www.admissions.purdue.edu/Transfer_Students/Transfering_Credit_t.html
http://www.admissions.purdue.edu/transfer_credit/transfer_ap.html

You must complete the course with a grade of C or better and submit an official transcript to the Office of Admissions.

If you have a course for which no equivalency exists and you would like it to be evaluated, send the following information to Credit Evaluation in the Office of Admissions:

  • The complete name of the college or university (including its regional branch designation, if applicable)
  • The course subject area (course prefix - may be letters or numbers)
  • The course number (not the section or registration number)
  • The course description (cut and paste from the school's course catalog)

Many courses from the Purdue Regional campuses have been evaluated and the course equivalencies can be found at: http://www.purdue.edu/registrar/pdf/Equivalent.pdf
