Advanced Information Technology Continuing Education Program
The Cummins Engine Advanced Information Technology Continuing Education Program (1999-present) implemented and delivered a credit-based continuing education program to retool Cummins worldwide IT staff for new, contemporary IT responsibilities. Cohort groups of 12-15 hand selected Cummins IT employees were engaged in an intensive 13 week curriculum of 18 credit hours that included courses in information technology architecture, SQL programming, Java programming, Oracle database design and Oracle Forms rapid application development, Oracle PL/SQL programming, and Oracle database administration. Approximately 10% of Cummins' worldwide IT workforce has completed the program to date.
