Admissions Requirements
General
High school students must have completed:
- 8 semesters of English
*(includes grammar, composition, literature, and vocabulary) - 6 semesters of academic math
*(includes algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus) - 4 semesters of lab science
*(college preparatory biology, chemistry, physics, earth/space science, physiology/anatomy, etc.)
Students must also have:
- C average in core curricula listed
- C overall grade average
- Exhibit an upward trend of achievement
- Be ranked in a the upper 1/2 of graduating class
- Score a 900 or above on the SAT
- Score a 22 on the ACT Composite
For transfer students who have coursework at a post-secondary institution:
- Grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale -or equivalent
- High school diploma
- In good standing at all schools previously attended
- Meet subject-matter requirements
For adults who have been out of high school three years or more:
Admission decisions are made on an individual basis, taking into consideration such factors as a student's work history, military service, high school record, previous academic or vocational coursework, etc. Please meet with the student services coordinator to discuss your interest.
