Admissions

Purdue University College of Technology students in Columbus and Greensburg are admitted directly into, and are a part of, the Purdue University College of Technology in West Lafayette. Your acceptance as a new student is influenced by many factors. Admission to the Columbus or Greensburg location generally is governed by the same criteria applied to students seeking admission to the West Lafayette campus.

Admission Requirements:


8 Semesters of English
*(includes grammar, composition, literature, and vocabulary)
6 Semesters of academic Math
*(includes algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus)
4 Semesters of Lab Science
*(college preparatory biology, chemistry, physics, earth/space science, physiology/anatomy, etc.)
4 Semesters of a Foreign Language

Students must also have :
* C average in core curricula listed
* C overall grade average
* Exhibit an upward trend of achievement
* Ranking in a the upper ½ of graduating class
* Results from the SAT or ACT (The test is waived for adult students out of high school for three or more years)

There are alternative admissions requirements if you do not meet these standard requirements. Please contact Purdue Student Services.

Steps for Success

1. Complete the Purdue University Application for Admission (available online).


2. Online payment of the nonrefundable $50 application fee (or qualified fee waiver) will be required to submit the application.

3. Mail your official high school transcript and SAT/ACT test scores to:

Your Purdue application is not complete until all items are received by the Purdue Office of Admissions.


4. Apply for Financial Aid. Remember Purdue University’s Code is 001825.


5. After admitted, call 812-314-8526 to schedule an appointment to take the placement test.


6. Attend a Purdue College of Technology New Student Orientation.
