Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology Scholarships
Note: Application for ECET Scholarships is handled through the College of Technology scholarship application process. All applications must go through the CoT application process.
Information concerning potentially available scholarships for ECET students is provided below: (This information is updated as it becomes available)
$2000 Scholarships (up to 5) sponsored by Indiana Michigan Power (formerly known as American Electric Power): Intended for ECET full-time Sophomore, Junior or Senior students who have a stated interest in the electric power field.
$1500 Scholarships (up to 4) supported by the Dr. Margaret R. Taber Scholarship Endowment Fund: Intended for full-time Sophomore, Junior,
Senior, or Graduate student who have demonstrated their dedication to ECET.
$1000 Scholarship (1) sponsored by the Gilbert L. Rainey Family: The Professor Gilbert L. Rainey Memorial Scholarship is intended for a nontraditional
student in accordance with Purdue’s SPAN program who has successfully completed all of the ECET 100 level courses.
$1000 Scholarship (1) sponsored by the Electrical Manufacturing and Coil
Winding Association (EMCWA): Intended for Junior or Senior students with strong academic and leadership traits as demonstrated through their scholastic achievements and other activities. Candidates should also have a stated interest
in the electrical products industry as a career objective.
$1000 Scholarship (1) sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. John W. Schumacher, Jr: The Robert W. Schumacher Memorial Scholarship is intended for ECET full-time Junior or Senior Co-op students with strong academic traits.
$1000 Scholarships (2) sponsored by Rick Vanderwielen: Intended for fulltime Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student who have demonstrated their dedication to ECET.
$500 Scholarship (1) sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) of Central Indiana Section: Intended for at least half-time Sophomore, Junior or Senior students with strong academic traits who have demonstrated their dedication to ECET.
$500 Scholarships (up to 2) sponsored by the Claude A. Graves Family
The Claude A. Graves Memorial Scholarship is intended for a Graduate non-traditional student with strong academic and leadership skills who has demonstrated their dedication to ECET. Candidates should also have a strong interest in RF Electronics .
NOTES:
Purdue’s Division of Financial Aid processes all scholarships before awarded - names of award recipients and the amount received are included as part of the standard record-keeping procedure at the University. If you receive other financial aid that is processed by that office, any award you receive through the ECET Department may have an impact on your other financial aid. Each recipient will receive half of the scholarship money for the fall semester and the balance will be received for the spring semester. Every effort is made to assure that the list of scholarships is accurate at any given point in time. All available scholarships are awarded each school year.
