Biography:

 

Brad has been working in the construction industry for over 20 years.  In 2009, Benhart furthered his commitment to construction education by accepting a Assitant Clinical Professorship at Purdue University in their Building Construction Management program.  Brad is focused on construction supervision, construction administration, scheduling, and project controls. His position allows him to further develop construction education and be an industry advocate for the next generation of builders.  His previous position was that of Vice President with Pepper Construction Company of Chicago, IL.  While at Pepper, Brad was a group leader who managed multiple projects ranging from $100k to $250 million dollars.  His entire career he has been actively involved in construction education and training.  He has been an adjunct professor at Northwestern University in civil engineering and has actively taught and trained many employees in the industry..   

 NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS  

A.A.C.E.I. (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers nternational) Midwest Project of the Year Award 2009 – This award was based on his presentation of project controls that helped reduce risk to the owner, general contractor, subcontractors, and workers.  

Union Leader Award 2009 – Northwest Indiana Building & Construction Trades Council – For displaying devotion to the well-being of workers throughout the community and promoting the philosoply of the labor movement
