Biography:

John P. Young is a Professor in the Department of Aviation Technology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. 

Prof. Young recently finished his term as President of the Board of Directors for the University Aviation Association (UAA).  He continues to serve on the Bylaws, Flight Education, Simulation, Professional Development, Graduate Education, and Strategic Planning Committees of UAA.  This national/international professional organization represents over 100 colleges and universities engaged in aviation education and research. 

His teaching/scholarly interests include:  aviation human factors and advanced flight simulation and training
