Biography:

Biography

Julie Mariga is an Associate Professor of Computer and Information Technology (CIT). Her areas of interest include social media/social computing, globalization of technology and diversity within computing disciplines. She has led two study abroad opportunities for CIT students to Monterrey, Mexico & Barcelona, Spain. She is also interested in reducing the gender gap within STEM disciplines.

  • 2001 - Teaching for Tomorrow Award - This is a university award and is selected by the Office of the Executive Vice President/Provost for Academic Affairs. They select twelve young faculty members and match them with three senior faculty members to learn and share ideas that promote excellence in teaching.
