Biography:

Biography

Professor Hansen is an Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Systems Technology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Professor Hansen’s primary areas of interest are network engineering, wired & wireless network systems administration, enterprise network management, and wired & wireless network security. In addition to his academic work, Professor Hansen provides consulting services to engage corporations and local city & county governments in order to provide services through a wireless network engineering firm with projects ranging from integration of IP Video, VoIP, and other enterprise services over LANs, WANs, & WLANs to the implementation of wireless municipal & wide area networks (WWANs & WMANs) for both the corporate enterprise and municipalities. Professor Hansen’s teaching interests include wired and wireless network design, engineering, administration, and management along with security of enterprise networks.
