Rodney C Vandeveer
Associate Professor Biography:Rodney Vandeveer is an associate professor in the College of Technology at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Professor Vandeveer brings to his teaching and training 30 years of industrial experience working as a Plant Manager, Manager of Labor Studies, Operations Manger, Director of Human Resources, and Director of Operations with such companies as Allen Bradley, RCA, and Rostone Corporation. In the Department of Organizational Leadership and Supervision he teaches Human Behavior in Organizations, Leadership Philosophy, Leadership Strategies for Quality and Productivity, and Emerging World-class Leadership Strategies. He has his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a Masters of Science degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Professor Vandeveer is a member of the International Society for Explorations in Teaching and Learning (ISETL) and the Southwest Case Research Association (SWCRA). He is also a member of the Executive Board for the Sagamore Council of the Boy Scouts of America, a member of American Society for Quality (ASQ), American Society for Engineering Management, Professor Vandeveer has consulted in the areas of leadership, supervisory training and lean manufacturing process with such companies as Medtronic, FBi Buildings, Cook Biotech, Mitsubishi Corporation, Fairfield Manufacturing, and National Tank Truck Carriers. Professor Vandeveer also works with the Technical Assistance and Healthcare Technical Programs at Purdue University. Professor Vandeveer has co-authored a textbook with Prentice Hall now in its second edition titled "Human Behavior in Organizations."
