PhD Program Fellowships and Assistantships

One key function of the College of Technology Graduate Programs office is to coordinate the fellowship opportunities for College of Technology graduate students. The Graduate Programs office maintains effective contact with the Graduate School’s director of fellowships among others, and serves as the liaison with Purdue’s Financial Aid office.

Teaching Assistantships

All teaching assistantships are arranged by the College of Technology’s eight department heads.

Research Assistantships

Another form of student support is the Research Assistantship. Typically these involve work on an externally funded research project. When notified of these opportunities, the Graduate Programs office lists them on its assistantship Web page. Departments may also list these on their own Web pages. Graduate students are advised to check with their major professor about opportunities in their field of interest.

Fellowships

Purdue University’s Graduate School also administers many university wide and national fellowship and scholarship programs. Students are advised to consult http://www.purdue.edu/GradSchool/funding/ for the latest information on these opportunities.
