Program Fees & Policies
Program Costs
Costs associated with this program consist of a flat fee for in-state (Indiana residents) and for out-of-state students. Current fees for the program is $4,500 per semseter (subject to change). Books and needed software are included in the fee. Expenses for any additional educational materials such as supplemental supplies, Internet access, subscription fees, etc., are the responsibility of the student.
Financial Aid
Various forms of financial aid may be found through the Purdue University Financial Aid Department. Resources are available at that site that will aid students in applying and searching for various types of student aid. Also visit the Graduate School Financial Support page for additional information at, http://www.purdue.edu/DFA/
Payment
Fees are due on the first day of class and may be paid via mail or on the first day of class. In cases where the employer is paying the student's fee, the student is responsible for ensuring their employer has paid the fees by the first day of class or provides a voucher indicating intent to pay.
Installment Plan
The plan offers an alternative way to ease the burden of having to make one payment each semester. Forty percent of the amount due for tuition and fees must be paid before classes begin. The remaining fees will be paid in equal amounts 30 and 60 days after classes start. The student will be required to sign a promissory note on the first day of class and pay the first installment. An interest charge will be levied on the upaid balance.
Drops
If a student fails to pay an installment as outlined in their promissory note, their course registration will be dropped.
Refunds
Students who drop hours or withdraw from the university will receive a pro-rated refund of tuition and fees according to the following schedule:
Prior to the first day of classes 100%
During the first two weeks of classes 80%
During the third and fourth weeks of classes 60%
During the fifth and sixth weeks of classes 40%
Books
Books will be distributed on the 1st day of classes each semester.
Incomplete Grades
The student must complete course work "in the time interval specified by the instructor but no later than the 12th week of the second subsequent semester of enrollment" after this time an "I" grade is assigned. Should the student not complete the course within the officially stated period of time, the "I" grade is automatically converted to an "F" and recorded on the student's permanent transcript. It is the student's responsibility to complete the required work and follow through with the instructor to see that the necessary administrative actions are completed. At the time of receipt of the completed materials for the course, the instructor will request a grade change through the appropriate forms used by Purdue University. The student will receive a grade report at the end of the semester or summer session, which indicates the new grade assigned.
Attendance Policy
Attendance at every class meeting is mandatory. Attendance during each weekend session and each weekend session class is mandatory.
Missing ANY part of on campus instruction will result in reduction of student's final grade at the discretion of the faculty.
