Aviation Technology Center

Purdue College of Technology and Vincennes University began the Aviation Technology Center at the Indianapolis International Airport in 1993. Purdue College of Technology at Indianapolis began by offering associate and bachelor degrees in aviation management and a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Technology.  These offerings still exist along with Avionics, NDT certificate programs, and Purdue's Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI) program for Air Traffic Control.

Advanced Composites Laboratory

Adv Composites/Materials LabThe Advanced Composites Laboratory aids students in learning theory, application, prototyping, manufacturing, and engineering / design using

moulded and mouldless processes.  Students will use techniques, tools, and machinery used in the aerospace industry.

Air Traffic Control (ATC) / Computer Laboratory

ATC LabThe ATC Laboratory is for use in Air Traffic Control coursework and general use for students to complete research, access campus information, and complete studies.

PCATD

There is also a FAA approved flight simulator that allows pilot students to complete up to ten hours of logged training toward their instrument rating.

Avionics Laboratory

Avionics LabThe Avionics Laboratory is designed to aid students in learning basic electronic through digital and fiber optic theories.  A student can expect to receive

747 Systems Trainer

training in advanced aircraft electronics, avionics systems, troubleshooting, installation / design.  The training aids and test equipment used in are what students will find in industry.

Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Laboratory

NDT Lab

The NDT Laboratory will aid students in accomplishing inspection processes used by the
