About Us

about us

Purdue University College of Technology at Kokomo is part of the Purdue College of Technology statewide delivery system. The system was established to meet Indiana's needs for college-educated  technologists and technicians. The program offers a unique partnership between business, education, industry, and government.

Representatives from local business and industry serve on the Purdue Kokomo Advisory Council and assist with planning, developing, and implementing the academic programs. Their participation helps insure that graduates meet the needs of North Central Indiana business and industry today ... and in the future.

The Kokomo location enables students to live and work at home while receiving a first-class technical education. Courses are offered to accommodate the work schedules of part-time students as well as to serve the needs of full-time students. On-campus childcare also is available.

The Purdue College of Technology at Kokomo offers associate of science (AS) and bachelor of science (BS) degree programs. Graduates of these programs find employment in business and industry in Kokomo and the surrounding communities. In addition to offering these degree programs, Purdue serves as a resource for local business and industrial personnel who are updating their skills or who need retraining in technical fields.

The curriculum for the technology programs at Kokomo is identical to the curriculum of the College of Technology on the West Lafayette Ccampus; the faculty, facilities, and equipment meet the same high standards of quality.

The College of Technology at Kokomo provides an individualized, practical, and real-world approach for the beginning student as well as the experienced student. The student population is a mix of traditional college-aged students who recently have graduated from high school and nontraditional students already in the workplace. This diversity brings a unique blend of education and experience into classroom discussions, benefiting all.

Six associate's and three bachelor's degree programs are offered by the College of Technology at Kokomo. The bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering technology and computer engineering technology can be completed in Kokomo. Also, students who complete the requirements for all AS degrees can continue their education in Kokomo and earn a BS degree in organizational leadership and supervision.
