Two-year accelerated degree program
Beginning in June 2009, the Purdue College of Technology at Kokomo will offer a two-year accelerated bachelor's degree program targeted toward displaced workers in the Kokomo area.
Students who complete the program will earn a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and supervision with a concentration in industrial technology in spring of 2011.
Through the Trade and Globalization Adjustment Assistance Act, part of the stimulus package that President Barack Obama signed into law in February, many workers may be eligible to have tuition, fees and books paid for, along with continuing to receive their unemployment benefits during the two-year period. To find out which companies are eligible through the federal act, those interested should contact a local WorkOne office
