Information About Changing Your Major To MET or MFET
Thank you for thinking about manufacturing or mechanical engineering technology as your new major!
The Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology offers two majors: Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MFET). If you would like to see the plans of study for the two degrees, click on the appropriate link:

Each student's record is individually reviewed and either accepted or rejected. There are no specific courses to be completed before being eligible to CODO, however, students must have at least a 2.5 GPA. There is no need to sign up for a CODO meeting.
For further information on the MET Department's CODO process or to find out how your courses would count in the MFET or MET program, or for any other relevant information that will assist you in making a wise decision about CODOing, contact the MET Head Academic Advisor, Kay Solomon (ksolomo1@purdue.edu, 765-494-7525, Knoy 135).
The MET Department will accept CODO students at any time after the first week of the Fall and Spring semesters.
