Applied Mechanics Teaching Assistant - Duties for this position include grading, development and occasionally teaching for the Applied Strength of Materials Laboratory. There are also opportunities for assisting with the other mechanics labs. This position requires knowledge of basic strength of materials principles and equipment.
Manufacturing Processes Teaching Assistant - Typically two or three graduate students are employed each semester to teach laboratory classes in Manufacturing Processes II (MET 242). These positions require knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment. Experience with laboratory safety and laboratory teaching is also desirable.
Applied Thermodynamics/Heat Power Teaching Assistant - Duties for this position include teaching the labs for the Heat/Power I (MET 220) course and laboratory development. This position requires knowledge of principles of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
MFET Teaching Assistant - Duties for this position include laboratory teaching, grading, and development for Automated Manufacturing Processes (MFET 243) and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (MFET 400). This position requires knowledge of automatic and computer controlled machining processes, CNC, and computer integrated manufacturing.
Fluid Power Teaching Assistant - Duties for this position include grading, development and occasionally teaching for the Fluid Power (MET 230) laboratory. Additional duties could include assisting with assembly and testing of experiments for other fluid power courses. This position requires a thorough understanding of the material in Fluid Power (MET 230).
Production Drawing Teaching Assistant - Typically one or two graduate students are employed each semester to assist with the Production Drawing (MET 102) course.
